On March 4 we're hosting a blind wine tasting and food pairing experience at the XCHC with our main slice, Chef Alex Davies.
Over the course of an evening we'll take you through a line-up of 4 mystery wines and serve up 4 dishes that Alex has specially created to match.
In duos or as individuals (yay lone wolves) you'll be tasked with guessing the variety, vintage and region of each wine. We'll provide you with our custom-made tasting grids to help you navigate your way through the wine's components such as colour, aroma acidity, sugar, oak and tannins.
Once the identity of each wine is revealed we'll bring out the tasty morsel. You'll be surprised at how much a wine changes with food, or even once you know what you're drinking.
